Thought I would say how much we enjoyed our meal on 18th Sept. We had just completed the Hadrian's walk and went to The King's Head in Bowness but they were too busy and turned us away! Wot, a 20 mile walk and no grub at the end of it! So we turned around and headed for The Hope and Anchor, best thing they could have done, much nicer pub and much nicer food.

Thought I would drop you a line to say what a wonderful stay we had with you last week.

The welcome was brilliant and after the long my friend, the dogs and I had had it was perfect.

The room was lovely and evening meal was brilliant.

I felt bad I couldn't finish it! Breakfast the follwoing morning was lovely and it was the perfect finish to sit on the benchs outside waiting our taxi.

Lovely service, lovely food.
